Wow, life is so hectic I haven't had time to update the blog since July 22...
Allie decided a couple weeks ago that she didn't want to take daytime naps anymore. For those parents reading this, you know this leads to a very exhausted child by 5 pm! AND a very tired mom having to constantly entertain a newborn while still managing to get things done around the house. As I type this, she is "cat napping" in the bouncer seat on the island, but I do not envision it lasting long!

swaddle her, tightly. she may not like it at first, but she'll probably give in. charlie would only nap or sleep if i swaddled him. and as much as it makes you sad, she needs to cry it out. let her cry 15-20min before you pick her up... she'll figure out that she's ok and safe in her bed and get tired. i sat outside his room in tears thinking "just go to sleep" and then he did and has been napping GREAT ever since!
