Allie & Dad

I thought this was just too sweet of a picture!

Mama & Papa Come Visit...and SPOIL Allie P!

My wonderful grandparents came to visit this week and help me get things done around the house.  Along with this came spoiling Allie P rotten...they've yet to put her down!

We are looking forward to a trip to Marshall this weekend to visit the family and celebrate Ben's birthday and the 4th of July.

I finally caught an Allie P smile on camera!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day, Ben/Dad!

A family visit

Aunt Sandi, Uncle Steve, Curt and Brian stopped through Baton Rouge Saturday on their way home from Destin to meet Allie.  I decided to dress her in a cute organic purple and pink onesie Grandma Kim bought for her, however the cuteness lasted an hour or so until she crapped and peed all over herself.

We ended up having to resort back to a trusty Target onesie for their visit.

THEN it happened again and we had to change to the light pink onesie...who would have thought such a small little nugget could produce so much laundry!  We also removed the "crawfish mittens" and filed the nails...she was a happy chica to get rid of those stupid things!

Not a fan of bath time

Allie's umbilical cord is still in tact so we have to give her "spit baths" for now...and she HATES it!  I am sure it's cold but she's got to be clean.

After bathtime was over, I bundled her up...and she peed ALL over me.  I guess that's what I get!

Nap Time

Friday afternoon Allie and I enjoyed some "downtime" and decided to lay in bed for a couple hours.  I caught a couple pictures of her snoozing...

It's no longer a "Dog's World" around here

Why hello there!  Roxy Ross speaking here - for those of you who don't personally know me, I am the eldest of the Ross clan.  I have a brother, Toby and now...a little 5-day-old sister named Allie (ahem - "Princess" according to Grandpa Butch).

Man have things changed around our house.  It's amazing how it takes "2" people to do everything for this kid:

* "2" to change a diaper - I sometimes need help in this department given my old age but do I get assistance - no!
* "2" to feed - I won't go there
* "2" to change clothes - Really?  How hard could it be?
* "2" to give a bath - All she does is scream so they obviously do a pitiful job

It's also amazing how "cute" they think everything is that she does.  It sure wasn't cute to them when I crapped on changing pads as a puppy!

The little critter is doing well...and things have changed around here for the absolute best.  I am sure I'll have more updates later on our newest, crazy addition to the family!

XOXO,
Foxy Roxy

3-days-old

Allie discovered her Nap Nanny that Grandma Kim bought for her for my last shower in Marshall back in May.  She seems to really like it!

Allie Parker Ross

We are so excited to announce the arrival of Miss Allie Parker Ross!

We went in for an induction Thursday at 10 pm.  I was put on Pitocin at 11:15 pm and by 3:30 am I was 9 1/2 cm dilated.  Unfortunately, I ended up having to push for awhile, but look what we got in return!

My mother always told me you would not understand the true meaning of love until you have a child...she could not have been more correct.

FRIDAY, JUNE 11th

Good news...it looks like Allie Parker's birthday will be June 11th!  Dr. Boudreaux is set to induce mom Thursday at 10 pm, with the hopes she arrives around noon-ish Friday.

Pray for mom - she's nervous (actually, VERY nervous) but everyone is excited.

The Marshall crew (Butch, Greg, Robert, Pam, Mama, Papa, Jamie, Molly & Kasey) is coming to town so there will be plenty of pictures to share of the newest member of our family.

We still have no idea what we are getting ourselves into.  It's night-night time for us...we keep hearing we need to get as much sleep as we can....

Love from the furry kids...

We be soddin'...

We got sod today...all 10 pallets of it.  I never knew how much I missed having grass.  Our poor dogs have definitely missed it (see pictures)...no more dust bowl for the Ross'!

The sod layers finished an area between the addition and our master bedroom yesterday and Roxy ran 90 mph and threw herself in the middle of the sod patch, then proceeded to scratch her back for at least a minute.  Then she streaked around the yard, which is a lot of physical exercise for Roxy for those of you who know her, a couple times.  Think she was telling us something?  It didn't take her long to stake out a nice, clean spot for her first dinosaur steamer either.

Oh, the joys of having bulldogs, but I wouldn't trade them for anything!

Now that's some sod!

39-week Appointment & Addition Pictures

Today was my 39-week doctor's appointment...not much progress but Dr. Boudreaux estimates Allie's birth weight to be no more than 7 1/2 lbs. so we are going to see if anything happens up to my due date (Thursday, June 10th)- if not, she will probably induce Friday, June 11th - CRAZY! I will know more next Monday at my 40-week appointment.

The addition is moving along.  The granite on the outdoor kitchen was installed late last week, all the doors are in, contractor is currently installing crown molding, base boards and shoe molding, my desk was installed today...see below for updated pictures:

Front windows

Living room - this just shows the base boards and stained concrete

Outdoor kitchen barstools...so girly (LOL!)

One hot, tired and extremely nosey American Bulldog!

Outdoor kitchen view from our backdoor.  This is only 75% of the way done.  Still waiting on the stainless steel doors to be installed (below grill and sink)...also waiting on plumber and electrician to hook-up plumbing, gas and electrical.

Outdoor kitchen from patio looking at front of addition.  Barstools will go where the brick is.

My new DESK!  I am so completely thrilled about this.  Should be painted by end of week.

Bathroom sink compliments of my mother-in-law...yes, she has excellent taste!
